“U”-shaped Spud Barge for Excavator

A Koehring hydraulic excavator worked from a Series S-70 “U”-shaped spud barge for a dredging project on the Delaware River. The “pocket” allowed the machine to be positioned close to the work area with minimal hull inclination.
