Spud Barge on the Monocacy River in Maryland
Dickerson, MD
The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers used a Series H-50 “T”-shaped spud barge to support a boom truck while removing debris that was lodged against the historic Monocacy Aqueduct located on the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal towpath near Dickerson, Maryland. Ramp attachments aided in loading the rubber-tired crane from a nearby boat ramp.
