Less Resistance for Transport Assemblies
End Rakes are designed to lessen the resistance as a barge assembly is being pushed through the water. End Rakes are most beneficial for transport assemblies going long distances or on assemblies exposed to high water currents. When used on transport barges, contractors have reported travel times improving 40% when using End Rakes versus without.
